House, formerly the village school. Dated 1841. Colourwashed roughcast render to
walls. Slate roofs. Picturesque style. Principal rectangular block has 2 slightly
projecting gables and closed gabled porch projecting from centre. To rear is a
further block with its ridge parallel to principal block. One storey and attics.
Diamond leaded casement windows, apparently mostly C2O replacements. Porch has
pointed-arched doorway with dripstone and studded panelled double doors. All gables
have deep verges with pierced decorative bargeboards and finials. The underside of
the porch verge has pebble decoration. Central timber bell-cote to main ridge.
2 chimney stacks, each with 3 rendered octagonal shafts.
