4 pairs remaining from an early-mid C19 composition of 5, in Tudor-Jacobean style.
Stock brick with stucco dressings. High pitched tiled roofs with grouped diagonal
brick chimneys. Gable ends, some shaped, with stuccoed copings and brick kneelers.
Varied windows, some pointed, under hoodmoulds and square or canted bays on ground
floor, all with fancy lozenge glazing. Each house 2 storeys, attic and basement
with 1 window in man block and 1 in narrow set back entrance bay. Some doors under
4-centred arches. Some ground floor bays have battlemented parapets.
Nos 1 to 10 (consec), Nos 13 to 30 (consec) and the railings around the Square form
a group with No 89 Mortimer Road.
