Early-mid C19 near-symmetrical composition of 5 pairs in picturesque Tudor-cum-Jacobean
style. Each house 2 storeys, attic andbasement, 1 window in main block and 1 in
narrow, set back entrance bay. Pairs linked by walls. Nos 1 and 10 are set partly
behind Nos and 9. High pitched tiled roofs with grouped diagonal brick chimneys.
Shaped gable ends with stuccoed copings and brick kneelers. Stucco window surrounds,
some with hoodmoulds. Ground floor windows, and 1st floor centre window are square
or canted bays, some oriels. All windows sashes with fancy lozenge glazing. Doors
of 6 panels, with patterned rectangular fanlights, set back under plain hoods.
Some roofs renewed in modern pantiles.

Nos 1 to 10 (consec). Nos 13 to 30 (consec) and the railings around the Square form
a group with No 89 Mortimer Road.
