Public house. Prominently sited early C19 frontage with early C17 double gabled
range to rear. Finely dressed stone. 3-storey front has central doorway with
monolithic jambs with to either side flat-faced mullioned windows with
projecting sills. 4-light windows to ground floor. 6-light and 4-light to 1st
floor. 3 windows of 2 lights to 2nd floor. Quoins. Gable stacks. Rear has
C17 range under 2-span roof at right angles with coped gables, kneelers and
lantern finials; rainwater spout set in valley between gables. Ground floor has
blocked double chamfered mullioned windows. East gable has 4-light double
chamfered mullioned window. West gable has 2-light chamfered mullioned window
(blocked). Left hand return wall has double chamfered mullioned windows
formerly of 2 and 3 lights. Right hand return wall has blocked chamfered
mullioned windows of 2 and 3 lights.
