Barn now milking parlour. Early C17, altered C19 and C20. Timber-
framed with brick infill, Staffordshire blue tile roof. Tall
single storey with inserted floor; truncated to 4 bays. South
side (facing farmyard): wall posts and most of the straight
braces to the wall-plate survive. Bay 1 has much of its oak
studwork in 3x5, square panels infilled by brick. Bay 2 is less
complete and has taking-in door within gabled ½-dormer. Bay 3 is
of brick with blocked C19 window whilst bay 4 retains door posts
now with C20 sliding door. C20 steel stanchions supported
inserted floor. Rear: later under-building and cladding in brick.
Original framework to bay 4; door-posts to bay 3 and some exposed
studwork to upper wall of bays 1 and 2. Left return: broken
through at ground-floor level but upper framework survives
including an exposed truss having 3 studs below a collar and V-
struts above; scarfed wallplates and sawn-off purlins indicate
truncation. Interior: principal-rafter trusses with diagonal
struts; single purlins and ridge. Right end truss as left gable.
