POINT HILL
Gazebo and associated features in the garden of Point Hill House
II
2.
The Gazebo is at the bottom of the garden of Point Hill House and so has
a frontage to the Military Road. Red brick, tiled roof surmounted by a
stone ball finial. 1 sash window with original glazing bars. Board walk
with stone balustrade leads down from the hillside. To the south are ornamental
pools and a fountain - the whole built up above the road surface and surrounded
by a red brick wall and so hidden from the road. This garden appears to
have been laid out in 1912, (article in Country Life November 29, 1913).
