House, cl900 by Sir Reginald Blomfield. Built of red brick with stone end quoins. Tiled roof
with 2 massive brick chimneystacks. Garden front is symmetrical with roof in 3 hips and 5, 12
pane sashes. Central doorcase with pediment and half-glazed door. South west elevation is
roughcast and has 1 sash window and canted bay to ground floor. North west or entrance front
is asymmetrical with projecting left side part tile-hung gable. 1st floor has 2 double sashes under
gable and 8 pane sash to right hand side. Ground floor has double sash and projecting wooden
and glazed pedimented porch. North west elevation has 1 storey brick extension with hipped
tiled roof and 3 French windows. Interior retains plain pine staircase with column newel and
ball finial to balcony above. The doors are later C20 and the lounge fireplace is c1980 in Adam
style.
