House. 2nd half C18, altered C19 and C20. Pinkish brick in Flemish bond;
pantile roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central stair-hall entry plan. 2 steps up to
central door of 6 fielded panels having over light with margin glazing bars and
wooden doorcase with pulvinated pilasters, canopy and panelled reveal. Windows
are sashes with glazing bars in flush wood architraves with 1980's stone sills.
Modillion eaves. Renewed moulded stone kneelers and coping. Tabled end
stacks. Tumbled-in brickwork to left gable. Rear: on left, attached single-
storey former wash-kitchen, now part of house, has a c.1980 part-glazed door and
a 12-pane sash; former stable, now Yew Tree Cottage, attached to end of this, is
not of special interest. Interior: closed-string, straight-flight stair has
moulded handrail on turned balusters and square newel; large elliptical-arched
brick fireplace to left-hand room (arch rebuilt 1983); eared wooden architrave
with dentil cornice to fireplace in right-hand room.
