6/25 Newton House Farmhouse

GV II

House. Late C18-early C19, altered 1987. Pinkish-brown brick in irregular
Flemish bond; pantile roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays with lower wing to rear right now
heightened. 2 stone steps up to central doorway having C20 6-panel door,
fanlight and pedimented wooden architrave. Windows are C20 16-pane sashes with
stone sills and original header-brick arches, cambered on ground floor.
lst-floor band of 3 stepped courses. Tabled dentilled eaves. Tabled end
stacks. Tumbled-in brickwork to gables. Included for group value.
