Farmhouse with attached garden wall. Possibly C17, re-built
c1800. Whitewashed rubble, stone slate roof with later brick
stacks. 2-unit range, right-hand unit originally agricultural
outbuilding.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Off-centre doorway with plank door, to
left a probable blocked doorway and beyond a 6-pane glazing
bar window. To right a 12-pane 2-light casement. Above a
single 6-pane window. Attached to right gable a single-storey
lean-to with single doorway.
Right return has single window at first floor.
Rear has 2-light casement to ground floor and 6-pane window
above. To right a small lean-to.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: dry-stone garden walls attached to front.
This and No.85 (qv) are believed to be the remains of the
former independent hamlet of Buxton-le-Grene.
