Town house, now offices. Early C18, altered c1800 and mid C20.
Brick with ashlar dressings and stucco ground floor and
parapet. Roof not visible. Brick side wall stack.
Ashlar plinth, wooden modillion eaves cornice. 4 storeys; 3
window range of 12-pane sashes with keystone wedge lintels.
Above, 3 similar smaller windows, and above again, a central
6-pane sash. Ground floor has to left a C20 panelled door and
fanlight, and to right, a 2-light casement with stucco
mullion. 2 segment-arched cellar openings.
INTERIOR: altered c1800, has an original dogleg stair, 4
flights, with turned balusters and intersecting strings. From
the half-landings, winder stairs to rear wing, with stick
balusters and ramped handrails. Ground floor room has late C19
marble fireplace flanked by round-headed recesses, one with
cupboard doors. Rear room has C19 kitchen range with wooden
surround. Other rooms have C19 fireplaces and several 2 and 6
panel doors. Basement has elliptical arched brick cellars and
stairs to deeper rock cut cellars.
