Shops and offices, now offices. c1900, restored late C20.
Ashlar and red brick, with ashlar dressings and slate mansard
roof topped with a conical ventilator. Free Baroque style.
Plinth, rusticated ground floor and quoins, wooden modillion
cornice, coped gables. 3 storeys plus attics; 7 window range.
Symmetrical facade, the first and second floors divided by
canted oriel windows on scroll brackets, alternating with
single plain sashes. First floor windows have segmental heads.
Attics have 3 canted flat roofed bay windows with double and
triple glazing bar casements. Ground floor has a round-arched
arcade with voussoirs, the outer arches with late C20 glazed
doors and cross casements and original wrought-iron window
guards. Round-arched central entrance with original
wrought-iron gates and pediment on brackets.
