House, 1773. Flemish bond brown brick; grey slate roof; gable end to
road rendered. 2 storeys; 3 windows plus 1 in stone wing. Replaced
door in earlier C20 gabled porch. 16-pane recessed sashes, those to
lower storey under gauged brick flat arches. Coped gable to road with
kneelers and finial, the stonework probably C19. Raised brick course
at eaves. 2 stone-capped brick chimneys. Until mid C20 the front
room was a post office and shop; on reconversion to part of house shop
window was replaced by paired 12-pane sash to lower storey. 16-pane
sash above. 16-pane recessed sashes to rear under wedge lintels.
Interior. Cellar, partly brick barrel-vaulted, with stone steps. One
6-panel (raised and fielded) door downstairs; dog-leg stair with good
turned balusters to upper flight and panelling to landing. Doors of 4
fielded panels upstairs.
