Stables and farmbuildings. Late C18 and early-mid c19 with later C19 additions.
Red brick with pantile roofs. L plan. 8 bay stables with 5 bay C19 barn and byres
at right angles to north. Stables 2 storey, barn to C19 range tall single storey.
Stable range has off centre semicircular headed doorcase with stone keyblock, 6 panel
door and blocked fanlight flanked by full height pilaster strips. To either side
are 2 tall doorcases with flat brick arches, stone keyblocks, and plain overlights;
that to left of main door now partially blocked. Beyond to left 3 similar doorcases,
that to the right of the 3 also partially blocked. Beyond to right is a similar lower
doorcase with segmental headed sash window with glazing bars to far right. First
floor has 5 square casement windows, one to far left, the others above the main door
and beyond to the right. Between end bay and main doorcase to left the first floor
and roof have collapsed. Dentilled eaves. Roof hipped to left. North range has
segmental headed 4 pane sash to far left, inserted double board doors below timber
lintel adjacent. Flat arched doorcase with board door and plain overlight to right
with blocked slit breathers and segmental arched doorcase beyond. To far right 2
segmental arched openings and a late c19 addition. Above 3 pitching doors. Dentilled
eaves. Roof hipped to right. Simple collared trusses to barn. Disused and derelict
at time of survey.
