Pair of cottages. Probably late C17 - early C18. Plastered cob on rubble footings;
rubble or cob stacks topped with C20 brick; slate roof to left cottage, corrugated
iron to right, formerly thatch. Pair of adjoining 2-room plan cottages facing
south-east. Left (south-west) cottage has axial stack in party wall between
cottages and right (north-east) cottage has projecting end stack. 2 storeys. Both
cottages have 2 window fronts of mainly late C19 early C20 casements with glazing
bars. 2 C20 ground floor windows without glazing bars left of door of right hand
cottage. Both have central doorways, the right cottage with C20 gabled corrugated
iron porch. Roof hipped to left, gable ended to right.
Interior: most original features are hidden behind C19 and C20 plasterwork. In left
cottage large rubble fireplace has plain oak lintel. Roof not inspected.
