House and adjoining cottage. Early C19. Plastered rubble, exposed to rear rubble
stacks with brick chimney shafts, some partly rebuilt with C20 brick, slate roof
with glazed ridge tiles. L-shaped building with main house facing south-west and
cottage at right angles to rear of right (south-east) end. House has double-depth
plan with main 3 rooms to front, stair hall left of centre and smaller service rooms
to rear. 2-room cottage to rear. Large kitchen stack projecting from left (north-
west) end, rear lateral stack to centre and front lateral stack to right. 2-
storeys. Symmetrical 3-window front around door set left of centre, comprising 16-
pane sashes and central first floor 12-pane sash above 6 panel door and overlight
with glazing bars, panelled reveals, doorcase and flat hood on shaped brackets. 6-
panel service door at right end. Roof is hipped each end, its deep eaves projecting
over recess on left corner. To rear most windows are original 3-light casements,
containing small rectangular leaded panes and central iron casements. 4-window
front of C20 casements with no glazing bars to cottages on left (south-east) side, 5
windows to ground floor and 2 doors. Some original joinery and plasterwork inside.
