House. C17 and C18. Timber framed and plastered, facade of gault brick in
Flemish bond, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. C17 range aligned E-W. C18
range at W end of earlier range, facing W, with 2 rear stacks, forming an
L-plan. C18 extension in left rear angle, with internal stack near rear. C20
lean-to conservatory to right. 5-window range of C18 sashes of 12 lights, with
crown glass. Central 6-panel door, the top 2 panels glazed, in simple
flat-roofed porch. Dentilled parapet. Hipped roofs. The C17 range has one
chamfered transverse beam, another boxed in, and a clasped purlin roof. The
front block has a late C18 stair, with stick balusters, wreathed rosewood
handrail with inlaid 6-pointed star, and fretted tread-ends. Moated site.
