Range of 2 attached cottages, C18, and C19 shop, now incorporated with Dormer
Cottage. Timber framed, partly roughcast, partly plastered with imitation
framing, with some painted brick, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. Range
facing W, comprising 2 cottages each with a central stack. C19 shop extending
forwards from left end, with long catslide roof to rear extension. Smaller rear
lean-to extension to main range. Main range of one storey with attics, shop
extension of 2 storeys and attic. 5 C20 casements, and 5 more on first floor,
of which 4 are in gabled dormers. Flush 4-panel door (Dormer Cottage), plain
boarded door (Clematis). Gambrel roof. Face-halved and bladed scarfs in
wallplates. Primary straight bracing. Chamfered transverse beams with runout
stops. Original stairs to rear of stacks, each branching to 2 upper rooms.
Some original internal doors with HL hinges.
