Cl8 pair, altered C19. 2 storeys stucco faced, on projecting plinth. No
31 has chamfered quoins. Steep pitch slate roof, hipped to left. Small
modillion eaves cornice. Each has a single central sash window flanked
by coupled windows on 1st floor. 2 coupled windows flanking entrance on
ground floor. Glazing altered. Moulded flush frames, the ground floor
windows all have C19 cornice hoods on scroll brackets. Recessed 6 panel
central doors. No 31 door has architrave surround and Doric doorcase of
engaged columns and entablature with dentil cornice and pediment. No 32
door has plain arched fanlight in deep recess with Doric pilasters and moulded
band to arch.
The front of No 31 to Hillworth Road qv has 3 windows to 1st floor, left
hand with C19 bracketed gable, Ground floor: one 2 light window as on main
front and one 3 light C19 stucco bay to left with cornice and blocking course.
Nos 31 to 42 (consec) form a group.
