Terrace of 6 houses. Mid C19, all converted to hotels in C20.
Gault brick with stuccoed and rusticated ground floors. Slate
and concrete tile roof. 3 storeys; 2-window range. Each house
of 2 bays, one an entrance bay, the other a canted window bay.
Doors are C20. Canted bays rise through 2 storeys, and were
formerly fitted with 2/2 unhorned sashes. 2 windows to the
second floor of each house. No.46 with a pair of full-height
canted bays to north return. Fenestration of late C20
casements except as enumerated: No.42 with horned sashes
without glazing bars to all windows; No.46 with 2/2 unhorned
sashes to all windows above ground floor. Gabled roof, hipped
to north and with 3 truncated transverse ridge stacks. Rear
with 2-storeyed gabled service wings to each house. One 2/2
sash to No.42 visible, all other windows C20.
