House, now offices. Mid C17 house completely built around in
early and mid C19, altered C20. Red brick under a pantiled
roof. 3 storeys; 3-window range. Late C20 ground floor. First
floor lit through three 2/2 horned sashes. Reused cast-iron
balcony railings. Second floor with three C20 6/6 horned
sashes. Gabled roof.
INTERIOR: the original C17 house was set back from the street:
in the cellar are remains of an arched doorway into the former
ground floor. One sunk-quadrant moulded bridging beam to first
floor and, in east wall, a bricked-in mullioned window. Early
C19 stick-baluster staircase with turned newels and a ramped
handrail.
