Farmhouse. Mid C18. Flemish bond brick on a red sandstone
plinth with graduated stone slate roof. Double-depth
central-staircase plan with 3 storeys. Projecting stone
plinth, first and second floor brick bands and gable chimney
stacks. Recessed central porch with semi-circular head. 2
ground floor and 3 first floor windows all with stone sills,
wedge lintels and C20 casements. 2 attic windows which are
horizontally sliding sashes with glazing bars and timber
sills. The gables are crow-stepped with stone copings. 3
windows to left gable, the ground floor has been enlarged
and has a cambered brick arch, the first floor a segmental
brick arch and the second a flat brick arch. The rear is
rendered, has a central door and a C20 conservatory. Closed
string dogleg oak staircase with turned balusters and a deep
handrail.
