GV II
Detached farmhouse. Late C17/early C18. Ham stone cut and squared, ashlar dressings; double Roman clay tiled steeply
pitched roof between coped gables; probably replacing thatch; brick chimney stacks. Two storeys, 3 bays.
Hollow-chamfered mullioned windows in chamfered recesses, 2-light above and 3-light below, the windows to lower bays
1/2 sharing a label and bay 3 having separate label; chamfered flat-arched doorway between bays 2/3 with C20 boarded
door: further mullioned windows in south gable. Interior not seen. Attached to north a range of farm buildings; the
first a tall barn, probably C18, with double Roman clay tiled roof, the first bay being 2-storey and apparently now
incorporated into house, with small- pane casement windows; then a blocked plain doorway with timber lintol, small
window inserted; bay 3 has nearly full-height divided doors in heavy frame: second building to north probably early
C20, with lower hipped roof, single casement windows with shutters below, with large vehicle opening in north gable.
