There is a recumbent figure of a knight with head on a visor, the front of the tomb decorated with figures of children (a boy and a girl died as infants, and a girl). The inscriptions read -Here lieth the bodie of Henrie Sacheverell esquier who married three wives: Marie daughter of Robert Gittin in the county of Kent, esqr, by whom he had issue one sonne and two daughters. She died the 27th October 1600. His second wife was Eliza daughter to William Copleay of Spratborowe in the county of Yorke, esqr, who died 13th May 1616. His third wife was Lucie daughter to William Boughton of Lawford in the county of Warwick esqr; which Henrie died the 17th of Januarie Anno Domini 1625-. The kneeling figures of the wives are shown with prayer desks in front of them. Their ruffs and head dresses show the changing fashions. Maries shield, shown blank, was intended to accomodate the Gittin Arms. Eliza and Lucy have spaces to share their Arms with Sacheverell. Above these, the Arms of Sacheverell of Ratcliffe: Argent on a saltire azure five water bourgets or, a crescent gules for difference. Out of a wreath argent and gules, a goat proper, on its shoulder a crescent gules. (Photo Aug 2008).
