Farmhouse. C17, with alterations and extensions in C18 and
C20. Coursed gritstone rubble with ashlar dressings, quoins,
plain eaves, ridge, gable and side wall stacks with moulded
caps, and a slate roof laid to diminishing courses. West
elevation of 2 storeys and 5 bays, the south bay an addition.
Northern bay with stacked and altered C17 5-light window,
formerly mullioned, but with replacement 2-light C20
casements. Former doorway with quoins and massive lintel to
south with C20 2-light casement. Central 3-bay range with
quoined surround to middle bay doorway flanked by C18
two-light windows with flush surrounds, formerly with
mullions, and now with C20 two-light casements. South of
doorway, ground-floor window now a 3-light C20 replacement
with flush surround and casements. Above the doorway a former
single-light C18 opening now a 2-light casement. Quoin line at
junction of fourth and fifth bays denotes former end wall, and
aligns with present ridge stack. Fourth bay with stacked
former 2-light flush-mullioned windows, now with 2-light
timber casements. All windows with C20 diamond-leaded lights.
