Farmhouse, possibly late C16, remodelled in C19 as 2 dwellings, now (1984)
derelict. Coursed sandstone blocks with quoins, tiled roof with one chimney
at the left gable and 2 on the ridge. Three bays with a lean-to at each end.
Two storeys; north front has 2 inserted Tudor-style doorways (to 1st and 2nd
bays), and windows with recessed cavetto-moulded mullions and hoodmoulds: 2,
4, and 4 lights at ground floor, 2, 3, 1, and 4 lights above, those in the 1st
bay definitely insertions but others either original or restored. Rear has
Tudor-style doorway at the junction of 1st and 2nd bays, and windows mostly
like those at the front: 5, 2, and 4 lights at ground floor, and at 1st floor
2 altered windows and a 3 and a 2-light window to the 1st bay; right gable
wall has a little chamfered light at 1st floor. Interior: 1st bay has an
inglenook bressumer with cyma-stopped chamfer, 2 large chamfered beams; 3rd
bay has similar beams with cyma-stopped broad chamfer, and chamfered joists.
