TL 1444 OLD WARDEN THE SWISS GARDEN

Garden house. Earlier C19, for the 3rd Lord Ongley. Circular brick base
supporting circular timber structure with thatched conical roof. 8 timber
posts with chamfered angles, supporting semi-circular arches with twigwork
decoration. Front 3 archways are open. Central rear archway filled with
ornate stained glass panel, 2 flanking archways filled with twigwork panels,
and 2 archways flanking these with twigwork balustrades. Conical roof has
ball finial, and its interior has painted decoration.
