A C18 or early C19 frontage probably to an earlier timber-framed and plastered
house. The upper part is plastered and the lower part is weatherboarded. Renovated
in the C20. 2 storeys. The house is in 2 parts, the west part has 4 window range,
double-hung sashes, the ground storey windows have glazing bars and the lst storey
windows are 3-light with single vertical glazing bars. The ground storey has
a canted bay at the east end a 6-panel door with a small fanlight, deep panelled
reveals and a doorcase with fluted pilasters and a pediment. The east part has
3 window range on the north front and 5 window range on the west front, double-hung
sashes with glazing bars. The ground storey has 2 canted bays and a central 6-panel
door with a cornice hood on brackets on the north front and on the west front
there is a doorway with a semi-circular fanlight, pilasters and an open pediment
on brackets. Roof tiled, the west part has a lower eaves level and is hipped
at the west end.

All the listed buildings around The Green form a group. (Nos 8, l0, 38, 52, and 25 are
buildings of local interest.
