Former row of cottages, now one house. Dated HCE 1765 on carved plaque over door
to left of centre, the right bays of slightly later date. Coursed ironstone
rubble with Uppingham stone quoins, slate roof, coped gable to left, white brick
chimneys flanking main block, red brick chimney to right. 2 storeys, 5 bays, the
2 right bays with slightly lower roof-line. Front is slightly undulating.
Paired barred wooden casements to first floor. Irregular 2 and 3-light wooden
casements to ground floor. 2 windows and flush-panelled door to left have stone
lintels with segmental soffits and keyblocks; central window has flat stone arch
and keyblock; 2 windows to right have flat stone lintels and keyblock. Flanking
centre bay are doorways with semi-circular arches, impost blocks and keyblocks
with pyramid pendants, all of Uppingham stone. Left archway has flush-panelled
door with fanlight; right archway has C20 board door.
