House and outbuilding. C17 in origin, altered late C19 and C20. Coursed
ironstone rubble, Collyweston slate roof (formerly thatched), coped gables,
flanking red and white brick chimneys. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Late C19 fenestration
with large 3-light wooden casements in bonded surrounds of pale limestone with
Uppingham stone sills, ground floor windows with chamfered stone lintels.
Central C20 door in C17 moulded and stopped surround with 4-centred arch and 2
stone steps. Over door is small moulded window with slightly ogee 4-centred
arch. Traces of quoins to left of door. Outbuilding to left appears to be of
same build but has C19 shallow-pitched slate roof with coped gable. 2 wooden
casements with segmental arches. Further outbuildings to left are not of special
interest. Interior of house has deeply chamfered cross beam in left bay, and
traces of another in right bay; stair landing with splat balusters and C17
roll-moulded handrail.
