House now in 2 occupations. Mid C17. Ashlar, stone slate roof. 2-storey south
front, single storey aisle to rear. Plinth, string-course 3-room, through-
passage plan with single storey contemporary gabled porch to south front. All
are double chamfered mullioned windows: 5-light parlour window; 7-light
housebody window, former 2-light fire-window; porch has coped gable with
kneelers with spiral decoration, Tudor arched doorway with moulded surround and
shields set within the spandrels; 3-light window to service end which has added
bay c.1983 out of sympathy. 1st floor windows lack some mullions and have
hoodmoulds with decorative stops (one bears initials "IB"); 2 of 4 lights, one
of 5 lights. Left hand return wall has 2-light window to aisle at 1st floor.
Rear has 5-light window with chamfered mullioned windows of 2 lights to either
side and another of 3 lights. Set back from aisle is doorway with Tudor arched
lintel and chamfered surround. 1st cell has 2-storey extension c.1983 with flat
roof totally out of keeping. 3 stacks to ridge.
Interior of housebody has scarf-jointed spine-beams which are stop chamfered,
evidence of former bressumer. Parlour has fireplace with Tudor arched lintel
and chamfered surround. Doorways with Tudor arched lintels to either side of
through passage.
