Cartshed. Mid-C18. Red brick; corrugated iron roof. Aligned north-south
facing south. 2 storeys with dentilled eaves band; 2 roof bays. South gable
has 2 cart entrances with keyed semi-circular arches springing from stone imposts;
and a first-floor Serlian motif recessed beneath a keyed semi-circular arch.
Corresponding cart entrances to north gable with segmental-headed window and
blind panel above. First floor door to the west approached by a flight of
stone and brick steps. Interior. First floor carried on heavy chamfered cross
beams carried on brick piers; 2 king-post roof trusses. The cartshed is part of
a symmetrical complex of which served a now demolished house. V.C.H. Vol.XX
