Pair of estate cottages: 1844 for George Walmesley. Ashlar buff
sandstone. Welsh slate roof and 1 central brick chimney. 2-storey
symmetrical, 4-bay front. Chamfered plinth and raised quoins between
main bays. Central 2 bays step forward each under a triangular gable
with bulbous coping. 3-light stone mullioned windows have label
moulds. In the gables are square panels of a shield in a quatrefoil.
End bays have porches with 4-centred arched entrances and half glazed
doors behind. High coped stone walls join this pair to nos. 1 and 2,
and no. 5.
