Nos. 17 and 19

Two houses and shop. C17, altered early C19. Rendered brick with granite
rubble stone plinth in part and probably timber framing in part. Welsh slate
roof with brick ridge and rear stacks. 2½ storeys of four windows, 2 C20 replacements
and two sashes. On ground floor, from left, C20 window, 3-panelled door, C20
window and a sash, and 3-panelled door. To right a carriage entrance with
chamfered beams to roof and also wall posts. On left end a two storey extension
with C20 shop window, glazed door and 2-light horizontal sliding sash over.
Two storey wing and one storey extension to rear. Inside are chamfered beams
with ogee stops, early C19 staircase, and a double-purlin tie-beam truss roof.
The two trusses in the rear wing have clasped principals. Purlins are chamfered.
There appear to be further wall posts to the rear above the carriage entrance.
