Pair of Lodges flanking the South Drive

Pair of lodges. Mid C18, probably by J. James. Ashlar and iron.
Each lodge has an embattled parapet with moulded band under
hiding the roof. Single central stack. Set on a plinth.
Rectangular plan. Single storey, single bay. With single
projecting bay to each side. Doorway with double wooden door and
arched overpanel with single central cusp, with raised band
around all, rising to an ogee arch with finial. The rear face
has a single similarly arched dummy window in similar surround.
Flanking the road side bay are single quatrefoil fixed lights.
Attached to the road side bay is a single wrought iron, hollow,
decorative pier, with coping topped with decorative scroll.
