Terrace house with shop. 1784-85 rebuild, Stock brick, concealed roof. 4
storeys. 3 windows wide. Ground floor has square headed house doorway to
right with panelled door and fanlight and wooden c.1800 shop front frame
(flat windows and doorway restored later C.20) with decorated brackets
carrying entablature with dentil cornice segmentally bowed over shop
windows. Upper floors have recessed later C.l9 sashes, under flat gauged
red brick arches. Parapet with coping. Originally built as part of
Nicholas Barbon's 1682 development of the Newport House site.
