Terrace of houses. c.1772,altered early to mid C.l9. Multi-coloured stock
brick with stucco dressings and stuccoed ground and 1st floors, slate roof.
4 storeys, No. 8 with 4th floor. Principally 2 window wide fronts but
No. 8 with 3 windows. Ground floor has wooden mid C.19 double shop fronts
with square headed house and shop doorways with fanlights and panelled
doors, mid C.20 fascias. 1st floor recessed glazing bar sashes irregularly
framed by order of Tuscan pilasters. The brick upper floors have recessed
flat gauged arch sashes, some blind, articulated now only fragmentarily by
a larger order. Doric entablature over 1st floor. Damaged stucco cornice
with blocking course raised in shallow pediment over No. 10, parapet with
coping to No. 8.
