Cottage. C17. Timber framed, partly underbuilt in brick and with brick and
render infill, thatched roof.
Two cell box framed direct entry cottage with stair on central partition. One
and a half storey, two window front, modern door in porch and modern
casements, casement dormer above. Large C17 external brick stack to left and
smaller C19 one to right. Rear has C20 weatherboard and corrugated iron
outshut. Interior has frame revealed with chamfered crossbeam, winder stair,
at least one ledged and braced door and principal rafter roof. The cottage
stands on the bailey round of Dymock Castle.
