Farmhouse, now house. Perhaps late C17 - early C18. Drystone rubble,
timber-frame, roughcast, slate and asbestos roof, end stack. Two-cell
house with 3-bay barn and further cowhouse range (not included) attached
at right angles. One storey and attic. North elevation: C19 4-paned
window to right of ledged C19 door; lean-to to east with 2-light window.
South elevation: 2 evenly spaced C20 casements each with gabled dormer
above. Circa 1980 casements to east side of barn adjoining house.
Interior: fireplace beneath 1' 6" deeply chamfered oak lintol to east
wall; newel stair with oak treads to right hand side lit by small single
light oak-framed chamfered window in deep wall-splays;framing is 2 panels
high to ground floor; run-out stop chamfered beam to west ground floor room;
"A" frame trusses to ends, interrupted tie-beam truss to centre portion
between first floor rooms. Barn has "1669" incised on south side of first
tie-beam north of the house. The house has been extended into the south
bay of the barn. Attached cowhouse to north of barn not included.
