Farmhouse. Probably C17. Rubble stone, concrete pantiled roof, 2 end
stacks one to each wing: that to rear left gable has diamond angled shafts.
L-plan (main entrance facing roughly south) with contemporary or C18 lean-
to to right wing and single storey mid-C19 extension to right of junction
of 2 wings. One storey and attic; 3 windows, those in main entrance front
to south have hoods: 2-light C17 windows with chamfered frame to left side
of ground floor; lean-to has 3-light C19 casement with 2-light C17 windows
above and to the left, C19 3-light casement above porch which has concrete
tiled roof and is supported under the right hand corner by a C17 chamfered
post and lit from the front by a 2-light C19 window with contemporary 4-
panelled door leading to C17 nail-studded front door. Interior: close-
set joists and chamfered beams to main front rooms, C17 reputed silk cupboard
with contemporary balusters and panelling to principal rear room in left wing
to west. First storey of each wing is divided longitudinally, in part by
plank and muntin partitions, straight C19 staircase at junction of 2 wings.
Roof trusses have similar contemporary trusses: raking struts from collars
and plain collar A-frames with ties.
