Farmhouse, stable and cow house. Probably C17 with C18 extensions. House:
coursed rubble, timber-frame, stone slate roof; stable: rubble, corrugated
iron roof; cow house: rubble, stone slate roof; two end stacks, right hand
one off ridge. Roughly south-facing 2-cell gable access plan with extensions
for cow house to left and stable to right. Two storeys, 2 windows, late C19
6-pane casement to left of entrance, early C20 4-pane casement to right of
entrance, C19 3-pane glazing bar sash to left hand side of first storey, 4-
pane C20 casement to right entrance under gabled early C20 porch through
ledged contemporary door. Cow house has stone slate roof, square window
opening to right and horizontally split ledged doors to left both under
segmental heads. Mid-C19 mullioned window and ledged door to stable. Rear
elevation of house was not rendered in c1950 like the front and presents 2
panels of roughly square framing between high plinth and wall-plate. Shaped
rafter ends are pegged to external eaves purlin. Interior: (not inspected)
reputedly newel stair to right of right chimney, plank and muntin screen,
broach chamfer stops, flagged stone floors, raking strut and queen post
struts (the last visible from stable).
