Dursley Mill to north-west
of Mill Farmhouse
GV II
Former small mill, now farm vehicle garage. Mid C17. Coursed
rubble mixed limestone and marlstone; stone slate roof. Single-
storey with attic; lean-to on south-east side. North-west side:
original mullioned openings with some casement fenestration.
Central 2-light at low level flanked by 3-lights, that to right
altered at later date to doorway but since blocked; central
vertical iron bar to each light of window to left, casements now
removed. Central 2-light mullioned casement at high level. All
have recessed mouldings and hoodmoulds. Blocked brick segmental-
arched doorway at left-hand end. North-east end: gabled with
single brick segmental-arched casement and casement to attic above
with timber lintel. South-west end: large C20 opening with
concrete lintel; large multi-paned fixed light to attic. South-
east side: built into bank with 2 brick segmental-arched casements
to right of weatherboarded lean-to with corrugated iron roof.
Interior altered in C20 conversion but attic floor remains in situ
with corn hoist trap doors. Although altered this is an important
survival of a C17 woollen mill.
