Originally a farmhouse, later 3 cottages, now a house: early C17 with
late C18 alterations and additions. Timber framed with plastered
infill on stone base. Marley tile roof and 2 ridge brick chimneys.
Lobby entry plan. 2-storey, 6-bay south front. 20 by 4 regular small
frames with angle braces at the corners. 2-and 3-light small casement
windows, mostly with glazing bars. Original doorway at the centre has
a flat 4-panelled door with iron strap hinges. Similar doorways
inserted at either end. Brick lean-tos at either end and rear.
Interior: entry into lobby with hall to left. Hall has chamfered
ceiling beam and chamfered bressumer. Parlour to right has chamfered
ceiling beam with jewelled stops, and 2 C18 3-board doors with iron
strap hinges. Roof structure lost in fire of 1953.
