Row of cottages, now two. Early C18. Soft red brick English bond visible in
left hand gable end, painted, with steeply pitched roof of pantiles and
asbestos. Tumbled gabled ends and dentil eaves cornice. Rebuilt ridge and
end stacks. One storey and attics. No. 52 has two dormers and restored
windows on either side of doorway, with C20 door. No. 55 has two C19
cat-slide dormers and four windows, C20, but in the original segmental
arches. Similar arch to doorway also in original arch. Gable end has
original brickwork visible and a window opening, blocked, with stone or gault
brick surround.
