Farmhouse. C17 origin, with later C17 additions, some C19 and C20 alterations.
Pennant rubble, pantiled roof with gable stacks, double Roman tiled porch.
Originally 2-room plan with through passage, made T-plan by additions to front and
rear left. 1½ storeys, east front has (formerly central) door with glazed
insertion in plain frame with timber lintel, C20 lean-to porch, 2-light casement
to right with chamfered mullion, iron stanchions and dripstone; large gable to
left, slightly projecting, with blocked window, small blocked light at upper
right, small gable to right with 4-pane light and dripstone; attached to front
left, a lower it storey stable wing with timber lintel remaining from former door
at inner right side, small gable above with 4-pane fixed light. At left return,
lower wing has stable door, small gable above with loading door; to left, C20
2-light window with timber lintel and 3-light casement with chamfered wooden
mullions, iron stanchions and decorative loop catch, small gable above with
2-light casement with chamfered mullion and timber lintel, stack to left at former
gable end, straight joint to rear addition to left. Right return has attached
single storey addition with 9-pane light in gable end, lean-to attached to front
with door and unglazed window, blocked window to rear. Rear has 3-light casement
with chamfered mullions and timber lintel, small gable above with 4-pane light,
porch attached to right, door (rear through passage); rear wing to right has
16-pane sash at ground floor and 6-pane sash at first floor. Interior: not
inspected.
