Farmhouse. C17 origin with C19 and C20 alterations and additions. Rubble,
rendered, double Roman tiled roofs. Originally T-plan with C20 addition forming
L-plan. East elevation of 2 storeys, block to left remodelled C19 with higher
roof line, C19 2-light casement at ground and first floor left, door with
overlight to right and single light above; to right, 1½ storeys, 2 C19 casements
at ground floor, small gable to left with 2-light casement and similar casement
under eaves to right. Right return has single light, ovolo-moulded, in gable
end, large 2-storey, 3 window C20 addition to right. Left return has C19 2-light
casement at first floor left. Rear wing has single storey C20 lean-to addition,
2 plate-glass sashes at first floor, gable above rising to roof ridge height;
rear wing attached to C20 addition, 2-span roof. Interior: front right ground
floor kitchen has chamfered and stopped beams, plank and batten door to former
stair with studs and strap hinges; C17 dresser with shaped shelves; fine spice
cupboard with scroll and circle carving and butterfly hinges; bacon-rack. C19
straight stair in former cross passage. Ground floor room to left has moulded
