This is Foxearth as the house appears now. The house underwent an extensive renovation period between 2001 and 2019 where the timber frame was repaired. The oldest part of the house is the section where there is a dorma window. This part of the building is believed 16th Century when it was a single story building and possibly the village meeting hall. This is evidenced by the size of the timbers used (much larger) as opposed to the more slender ones used to the right. At some point this oldest part of the house suffered an extensive fire evidenced by charcoaling to some timbers up to a depth of 5 mm.
