TQ 3978 OLD WOOLWICH ROAD
(south side)
786-/16/10036 Nos. 122 and 124

GV II

Pair of houses with central carriageway, c.1830. Stock brick and some painted stone, with slate
roofs behind rebuilt parapets and end stacks. Symmetrical two-storied composition with wide bows
either side of central carriageway. Each bow with tripartite 28-light windows with glazing bar
sashes under gauged brick heads. First floor windows with glazing bar sashes over carriageway.
Doors in carriageway blocked, but survive to either side, one with mid nineteenth-century painted
stone porch with keystone. Interiors believed to retain original stone fireplaces on ground floor,
cornices and doors.
