1898, part of the formal layout of the Aston Union Cottage Homes, the clock
tower is centred on a 'round point' in the middle of the avenue. Timber framed
openwork structure supports clock, protected by a pyramidal tiled roof in
2 stages with overhanging eaves. Sandstone dressed plinth with inscription
plaques.
