Pair of terraced town houses with later shops. c.1776-88, as part of the
Duke of Manchester's development of Manchester Square on Portman land.
Stock brick and slate roof. 4 storeys, No. 9 with added dormered mansard.
Altered Victorian shop fronts. No. 9 has pilastered porch to right. Upper
floors have recessed sashes under flat gauged red brick arches, rendered on
No. 11. Stone coped parapet to No. 9. Dentilled stucco cornice and
balustraded parapet to No. 11. Cast iron geometric patterned balustrade
across 1st floor of No. 9. Included for group value only.
